SSH keys
Make or import SSH keys, copy a public key to a server, and sign in without a password. Private keys stay in your system keychain.

- Generate key: ED25519 (recommended), RSA 4096 or ECDSA, with an optional passphrase.
- Import key file: choose an OpenSSH, PEM or PKCS#8 private key, give it a name and, if it has one, type its
passphrase (a PuTTY
.ppkmust be exported in OpenSSH format first). - Copy public key: paste it into the server's
~/.ssh/authorized_keys(or the panel's SSH keys screen). - Export saves the private key to a file, still encrypted if it has a passphrase.
A key in use by a saved host can't be deleted until that host signs in another way.
