Plans & pricing (official edition)

Plans & pricing is where you set what the paid edition costs. You sell three products — HF Panel, HF Cloud and HF Deploy — and one licence key carries any mix of them: one, two or all three. It is always the same install: the licence decides which products are switched on, and a product bought later is picked up by the server's next licence check, with no reinstall. The same prices are used everywhere: the website, the order page and the licence manage page. This screen exists only on the official edition.

The products

A licence has at most one plan of each product, or none. A licence without HF Panel (only HF Cloud and/or HF Deploy) gets a small Server Admin — server status, updates, backups, firewall, SSL, logs, staff, billing, settings and API tokens — and the screens of its products. The hosting screens are hidden and the Control Panel and Reseller Panel are off; such a server installs no email, DNS or FTP server. Data is never deleted.

No HF Panel plan includes HF Cloud or HF Deploy, Business neither: they are bought only as their own products, each with its own plan and price.

How a price is worked out

A bundle costs (base price + the prices of the chosen features) × the account tier's multiplier, less the bundle discount, rounded to 2 decimal places. Prices are per month.

The bundle discount depends on how many paid modules are chosen: modules (not panels) with a price above 0. When several discounts apply, the one with the highest number of modules counts.

Tip: a plan with a fixed price ignores the formula. Its worked-out price is still shown next to it, so you can see how much of a discount the plan gives.

The plans a new licence server starts with

Until you save your own prices, the licence server sells these HF Panel plans, each at a fixed monthly price per server:

HF Cloud has no plans until you add them with your own prices (HF Cloud section, New plan): until then the order pages and the website do not offer it. A plan priced 0 is free, so give each plan a price. HF Deploy starts with these plans (fixed monthly prices, in your billing currency):

The free trial gives every feature of every product with no limits for 30 days. Once you save the Prices card or a plan, your catalogue replaces these defaults, and a later update never changes it. A catalogue saved before the product lines gets the HF Cloud and HF Deploy plans above the first time it is read; its HF Panel plans stay as they were.

HF Cloud and HF Deploy plans

The HF Cloud and HF Deploy tabs list their plans with the limit, the price and whether each is shown on the website. Click Create on the New plan card, or Edit next to a plan:

A plan that licences are on cannot be deleted (their limit and price come from it): hide it from the website instead. The HF Cloud tab also has the plan of the HF Panel licence a VPS ordered with an HF Panel image gets.

Plans

The Plans card lists every plan in its order, with its features, account tier, price and whether it is Shown on the website or Hidden. Most popular marks the plan the website highlights.

Create or edit a plan

1. Click Create on the New plan card, or Edit next to a plan. The plan opens in a step-by-step dialog.
2. Fill in the plan and click Save plan.

The dialog shows the Worked-out price as you tick features, checked by the licence server itself.

Delete a plan

Click Delete next to the plan and confirm. Licences on the plan keep their features and account tier; they show as a Custom bundle from then on.

Prices

The Prices card holds every price of the formula. Click Save prices when you have changed them.

Note: new prices apply to new orders and plan changes. Running subscriptions keep their price until the licence holder changes their plan.

Change a licence's plans or features

On Licence keys, each licence shows its HF Panel plan (a plan's name, No HF Panel, Custom bundle, or All features for licences from before plans), its features and its products with their plans. Use the Plan and Feature lists above the table to show only some licences.

1. Open Manage next to the licence and click Change plan / features.
2. Choose the HF Panel plan (or No HF Panel, or All features) and a plan of HF Cloud and HF Deploy, or None.
3. Check the New price, the difference from what the licence costs now and what is Charged now (prorated).
4. To charge the owner through the licence's subscription, tick Bill the owner through the licence's subscription. Without it the change is saved at once and nothing is charged.
5. Click Change plan.

Upgrades take effect at once. A billed downgrade takes effect at the end of the paid period. The licensed server picks the change up at its next licence check, or straight away when its administrator clicks Check now.
