Saved hosts
Add your servers once and open them in a terminal or in Files: groups, tags, search, jump hosts, pasting an ssh command, and importing accounts from HF Panel.
Where: HF Connect › Hosts
The list shows every saved host with its address, user, how it signs in, its group and when you last connected. Search finds hosts by name, address, user, group or tag; the groups in the sidebar show one group at a time.
The list takes the keyboard: the arrows, Home and End move between hosts, Enter (or a double-click) connects, F2 edits, Delete deletes (after asking) and a right-click or Shift+F10 shows every action. Ctrl+N (⌘N) adds a host, Ctrl+F (⌘F) jumps to the search and ? lists the shortcuts. Keys, Known hosts and Port forwarding work the same way (F2 renames a key, Delete deletes a key, forgets a host key or stops a forwarding).
Add a host
Click New host, or paste a command such as ssh -p 2222 -J bastion deploy@203.0.113.10 into the Add a new host
card and click Read command: the address, user, port and jump host are filled in for you. When the command signs
in with a key file (-i ~/.ssh/id_work), the form offers Import this key.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Unique: two hosts can't have the same name |
| Address and port | Empty port = the usual one (22 for SSH and SFTP, 21 for FTP and FTPS, 990 for implicit FTPS) |
| Sign in with | A password (asked when you connect, or kept in the keychain), a saved key, the SSH agent, or nothing |
| Jump host | Connect through another saved SSH host, up to five in a row |
| Group and tags | For the sidebar and search |
Import from HF Panel
Click Import from HF Panel, type your panel's address (for example yourdomain.com) and an API token
(your name at the top right › Password & security › API tokens). Every hosting account the token sees becomes a saved host in a group of its
own; accounts imported before are skipped.
