Sell VPSs
Make VPS plans and images, create VPSs for customers and run them — power, console, suspend and delete.
Once a host is online and has addresses, you sell VPSs in plans made from images, and look after every VPS from the VPS list.
Where: HF Cloud (https://cld.yourdomain.com) › VPS plans, Images and VPS list
Make a plan
- Under VPS plans, click Create on the New plan card.
- Fill in:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Up to 40 characters, unique, for example VPS 2. |
| Price a month | In your billing currency. |
| vCPUs, Memory, MB, Disk, GB | The VPS's size (1–64 vCPUs, at least 512 MB and 5 GB). |
| Traffic a month, GB | 0 = no limit. |
| IPv4 addresses | How many each VPS gets (0–8). |
| An IPv6 address | One IPv6 address from the host's IPv6 pool. |
| Hidden from customers | Keep the plan for VPSs you create yourself. |
- Click Save.
A plan's size is copied into each VPS made from it: a change applies to new VPSs only. Deleting a plan leaves its VPSs as they are.
Images
Images lists the systems offered. The first visit adds Ubuntu 24.04 with HF Panel, Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13 and
AlmaLinux 9 from the distributions' official cloud images. To add one, click Create on the New image card and
give its Name, Key, System, the Image address (an https:// address of a qcow2 cloud image) and
either the Checksum list address or its SHA-256. Each image is downloaded once per host and checked before
use.
- Installs HF Panel on first start: the VPS installs HF Panel with the licence key given when it is created.
- Offered for new VPSs: untick it to stop offering an image; VPSs made from it keep running.
Create a VPS
- Under VPS list, click Create on the New VPS card.
- Plan: choose the Customer, the Plan and the Image.
- Host: leave Automatic: the host with the most room, or choose a host. With several locations you can choose one.
- Access: an optional Host name (a full name such as
server.example.com; empty: one is made), a Root password and/or an SSH key, and the HF Panel licence key for an HF Panel image. - Click Create VPS.
If you gave neither a password nor a key, a password is made. The Root password is shown once: copy it and give it to the customer. It is never stored.
The VPS shows Creating while its disk is prepared and it starts; the list updates itself every few seconds.
Note: a customer can have up to 10 VPSs.
Run VPSs
The VPS list shows totals (VPSs, how many run, how many have HF Panel, how much host memory is given out and the monthly revenue of the VPSs not suspended) and every VPS with its customer, plan, address, host, size and state. Filter by host or state at the top of the list.
- Console: the VPS's screen in your browser, with Ctrl+Alt+Del and Send text.
- Manage (or a right-click on the row): Start, Restart, Shut down (asks the system to stop), Power off (stops at once), Suspend / Unsuspend, Delete.
A suspended VPS is stopped and only an administrator can start it again. Delete removes the VPS and its disk from the host and puts its addresses back in their pool; it cannot be undone.
Resellers see the VPSs of their own customers here and can power them and open their consoles.
